Bangtan Boys Nominated for Multiple Billboard Music Awards

Boy band Bangtan Boys, also known as BTS, have earned seven nominations in six categories at the upcoming Billboard Music Awards set for May 15.

The boys are running for Top Duo or Group, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Billboard Global Artist, Top Billboard Global Song, Top Rock Song and Top Selling Song. In the latter category, two of their songs are nominated -- "Butter" and "Permission to Dance."

Last year, BTS took home four awards.

The Billboard Music Awards are considered one of the three major music awards, along with the Grammys and the American Music Awards.
