Hyun Bin, Son Ye-jin Become Real-Life Couple

Superstars Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin tied the knot in Seoul on Thursday.

The two, who played a couple in cable channel tvN's mega hit series "Crash Landing on You," got married in real life after dating for two years in a private ceremony at the Grand Walkerhill Seoul with only about 200 of their closest friends and family members in attendance.

Son's close friend and fellow actress Kong Hyo-jin caught the bouquet, while Hyun Bin's friend Jang Dong-gun gave the best man's speech. Guests were entertained by singers Gummy, Kim Bum-soo and Paul Kim.

The wedding took place under tight security in the same venue where other starry couples like Bae Yong-joon and Park Soo-jin and Ji Sung and Lee Bo-young have tied the knot, with a 250 m radius around the venue declared off-limits.

The couple made their relationship public early last year, saying they started dating in March 2020, about a month after "Crash Landing on You" finished airing.

Hyun Bin said on Instagram account that Son always makes him smile, while the bride added, "I had never imagined that I would meet a man who I can share my heart and promise the future with. But it just happened."

The newlyweds will move into a newly built villa in Guri, Gyeonggi Province that Hyun Bin bought in 2020 for a cool W4.8 billion (US$1=W1,213).
