Korean footfall fans are eagerly waiting to see which group Korea will be in as the draw ceremony for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar is to be held in the Qatari capital of Doha on Friday evening.
The quadrennial sports extravaganza is being held in November this year instead of in May and June due to the scorching summer temperatures in the Middle Eastern country.
FIFA divides the 32 qualifying teams into four pots of eight countries each. The host country, Qatar, and the top seven teams on the latest FIFA world ranking go into Pot 1.
Pots 2 and 3 are also filled according to the FIFA ranking, Korea being put into Pot 3, while Pot 4 contains the five lowest-ranked teams and the winners of three remaining playoffs scheduled for June.
Teams from the same continent will not be grouped together -- there will be eight groups of four, with the exception of Europe, as 13 European countries qualified.
