The annual Jeonju International Film Festival will hold a special screening event for renowned director Lee Chang-dong this year.
The event will feature the world premiere of his latest short film, "Heartbeat," and screenings of seven of his other works, including "Oasis" (2002), for which he won best director at the Venice Film Festival, and "Poetry" (2010), which won best screenplay at the Cannes Film Festival.
"Heartbeat," his first film in four years, was produced with the participation of the World Health Organization.
"Lee Chang-dong: The Art of Irony," a documentary directed by French filmmaker Alain Mazars that examines the director's style, will also be world premiered.
The festival runs from April 29 to May 8.
