The Bank of Korea Friday raised its key interest rate by a quarter percentage point to pre-pandemic levels as it grapples with inflation concerns.
In its first monetary policy meeting of this year, the central bank decided to raise the benchmark rate to 1.25 percent.
The decision came after it raised the rate by 0.25 percentage point in November last year.
