Ryu Hyun-jin to Train on Jeju Island to Prepare for New Season

Ryu Hyun-jin of the Toronto Blue Jays will train on Jeju Island to prepare for the new season.

His agency here said Wednesday that the pitcher will stay in Seogwipo on the southern resort island until mid-January.

Ryu returned to Korea in early October last year after wrapping up the season.

Ryu used to train in Okinawa, Japan, every January, but since last year has opted for Jeju due to the coronavirus pandemic.
