Rain Says He Has Confidence in His New TV Series

Singer and actor Rain has returned to the small screen with "Ghost Doctor," which began airing on cable channel tvN on Monday.

The fantasy medical drama is his first TV series in some three years since "Welcome 2 Life" in 2019.

"It is a medical drama but not a serious one. It combines various genres of drama, comedy and romance," Rain said at a press event on Monday. "It is so much fun that viewers will be able to replenish their energy by watching it."

He said he is always willing to appear in a TV series if the script is good. "The script of 'Ghost Doctor' was really interesting, but I thought filming would be really hard, because I had to take into consideration what [areas of the screen] would be filled using computer graphics when I act, and pay extra attention so that it looks real," he said.

"But I became confident that I could do it after meeting the producer and the scriptwriter. And I'm thankful that I and the other leading actors had good chemistry."

The drama also stars Uee, Son Na-eun and Kim Beom.
