Striker Lee Seung-woo will join Suwon FC. The club said Friday Lee has agreed terms with it.
Lee, who played for the youth team of Spain's prestigious FC Barcelona, began his professional football career at Italian club Hellas Verona F.C. in 2017.
As he was unable to secure his position on the team, he moved to Belgian club Sint-Truidense V.V. in August 2019 but was given few opportunities to prove himself.
He appeared in just 17 matches over about two years, including four matches in which he played for Portuguese club Portimonense S.C. on loan last season.
On Nov. 23, he terminated his contract with the Belgian club by mutual consent. It appears he decided to return to Korea after Suwon FC showed interest in him.
Lee will join the club's winter training session for next season, which will begin in early January.
