Striker Lee Seung-woo is parting ways with Belgian football club Sint-Truidense V.V.
The club said on Monday, "The Korean midfielder… has played 17 games and produced two goals for STVV. We wish Seung-woo the best of luck in his future career."
Lee transferred from Italian club Hellas Verona F.C. to STVV in August 2019. The move to Belgium seemed a good opportunity for Lee, whose place on the Italian team never seemed certain.
But his expectations were unfulfilled, as he appeared in only four matches in his first season with the Belgian team. In his second season, he was able to score just two goals in 13 matches.
He also played briefly for Portuguese club Portimonense S.C. on loan last season, but was scoreless in his four matches there.
Lee returned to STVV this season but failed to get even a single minute of playing time.
He plans to search for a new club in the winter transfer window.
