Korea is to face Brazil in the semifinals of the women's volleyball at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo on Friday.
Korea is looking to clinch a medal for the first time in 45 years, since it won a bronze medal at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal.

Korea has a checkered history against world No. 2 Brazil, with an 18-45 all-time head-to-head record against the South American team.
Korea earlier lost to Brazil 0-3 in a group-stage match to open the Olympic tournament, but briskly sliced through its subsequent opponents. It then beat seventh-ranked Dominican Republic and fifth-ranked Japan to advance to the quarterfinals, where it defeated No. 4 Turkey. Korea's ranking in the meantime rose from 14th to 11th.
