Actress Jin Ki-joo shared her thoughts on the tough challenge she embraced for her new film "Midnight," which is set for release late this month.
In the action-packed film, she plays a deaf woman who becomes the target of a serial killer after witnessing a murder.
"Filming was really tough," Jin said early this week at a press event to promote the film, ahead of its release.
"Many action scenes were often spontaneous and impromptu, leading to some risky moments. In fact, I always had a bunch of bruises all over my body while filming," she sighed. "It felt like a combat mission at times," she added.
She also learned sign language for the role, as she portrays a character who cannot hear or speak. "I was somewhat worried about learning it, as I've never tried it before, but I was able to do it much better than I expected and I found it very interesting to communicate with gestures and hand movements."
The film is scheduled for release on June 30.
