Some 43,800 Koreans owned more than W1 billion worth of stocks last year, up from just 25,200 in the year before, the Korea Securities Depository said Sunday (US$1=W1,121).
That accounts for 0.48 percent of all stockholders in the country, up from 0.41 percent in 2019.
