The annual Jeonju International Film Festival will be held under the banner of "Film Goes On."

The festival, now in its 22nd year, will feature a total of 186 films -- 77 Korean and 109 foreign -- from 48 countries. Of the films, 141 will be screened online.

The rest will be shown on some 17 screens at major theaters in Jeonju during the festival, which will run from April 29 to May 8.

The opening film of the festival is "Father" by Serbian director Srdan Golubović, about a father with two children trapped in poverty in a small village in Serbia.

The festival will close with "Josep" by French cartoonist Aurel. The biographical film follows the life of Josep Bartolí, a Spanish illustrator who was forced to flee to France to escape from dictatorship during the Spanish Civil War in the late 1930s.
