Singer-turned-actress Na-ra recently wrapped up KBS' drama series "Royal Secret Agent," her sixth TV project since she turned to acting in 2017.
She has steadily appeared in one or two TV series every year and shared what keeps her motivated as an actress in a recent online interview.
Na-ra made her showbiz debut in 2012 with girl group Hello Venus. Starting with SBS' drama series "Suspicious Partner" in 2017, most of her projects, including "My Mister," "Doctor Prisoner," "Itaewon Class" and "Royal Secret Agent," have received good responses.
When asked if she has a list of criteria for choosing projects, she said, "Actually, I've been incredibly lucky to have chosen works that were received well and got great ratings. I think I tend to go by characters that I want to play."
"I have also been fortunate to be able to work with many respected senior actors, directors and screenwriters, who were like teachers for me," she said. "They have inspired me to work harder, do better and keep going."
On her next project, Na-ra said, "Thankfully, I have received several offers since 'Royal Secret Agent,' so I'm carefully reading the scripts. Nothing is confirmed yet, but there is a really fun project that I'm interested in."
