The concert attracted 280,000 views from all over the world, excluding China -- almost the size of five stadiums.

The total gross is estimated at W11.76 billion based on the average ticket price (US$1=W1,118).

Boy band Bangtan Boys', also known as BTS, first virtual concert last year attracted over 750,000 viewers and grossed W26.2 billion.

Black Pink's show also broke new ground for YouTube since it was the site's first attempt to organize a paid concert under an exclusive contract with a singer or group. The tickets cost W36,000 for a livestream and a rerun and W48,000 for a livestream, rerun and behind-the-scenes feature.

YouTube is reportedly minded to create a paid virtual concert platform.
