Temperatures are expected to dip below freezing on Thursday morning, when high school seniors across the country take their university entrance exam.

The test date has been postponed by two weeks this year due to the coronavirus epidemic and falls December for the first time.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said Monday that a cold front from Mongolia will send temperatures plummeting. "Cold drafts could blow into test venues because the doors and windows will be opened regularly in order to prevent infections," the KMA said, and advised candidates to dress warm.

Morning lows will reach -2 degrees Celsius in Seoul, five degrees in Busan, one degree in Gwangju, -1 degree in Daejeon and -4 degrees in Chuncheon, which is normal for the time of year.
