Korea's exports grew in the double digits in the first 20 days of November led by cars and microchips.
According to the Korea Customs Service on Saturday, exports totaled US$31.3 billion from Nov. 1 to 20, up 11.1 percent on-year. Imports totaled $2.8 billion, up 1.3 percent. Average daily exports increased 7.6 percent.
By product, semiconductor exports surged 21.9 percent, cars 11.9 percent and mobile communication equipment a whopping 36.2 percent.
But it is uncertain whether the growth will continue. The biggest variables are the spread of coronavirus infections and intensity of lockdowns imposed in Korea's major export destinations.
