K-pop girl group Black Pink topped Bloomberg's Pop Star Power Rankings for the month of October, becoming the first Asian act to do so.
They were followed by Pop Smoke, Cardi B and Justin Bieber.
The rankings of the world's most influential pop stars are calculated every month based on six criteria -- "trailing three-month gross revenue from live shows, trailing 30-day ticket sales for live shows, trailing four-week album sales, trailing four-week digital song streams, trailing 30-day total interactions on Instagram and trailing four-week YouTube views."
Black Pink have "been the most popular act on YouTube for the past couple of months, generating more than 1 billion views in October alone," Bloomberg said. Alongside boy band Bangtan Boys, also known as BTS, the quartet "achieved a level of global popularity unprecedented in the history of music," it added.
