The usual practice of office workers waiting in line for a seat at a restaurant has largely been replaced by having lunch delivered or grabbing a takeout.
But many are finding that what began as a necessity due to the coronavirus epidemic is actually a more convenient way to eat.
Convenience stores are seeing an increase in sales of mass-produced lunch boxes and are planning to carry more ready-to-eat meals.
Sales increased by more than 10 percent over the last 30 days as social-distancing rules were tightened.
