Striking doctors have agreed among themselves to negotiate with the government over medical reforms they believe wrong-headed.
A team consisting of members of the Korean Medical Association and the Korean Intern and Resident Association said Thursday that the deal was reached in a closed-door meeting.
Most doctors returned to hospital work on Friday, but some refused.
Earlier, doctors said they would not negotiate with the government until it scraps the entire reform package, which includes raising the quota at medical schools.
