Next year will only have 64 Sundays and public holidays, three fewer than this year, the Ministry of Science and ICT said on Monday.
The longest holiday is Chuseok or Korean Thanksgiving that lasts five days, but the Lunar New Year break lasts only four.
There will be 52 Sundays next year plus 15 national holidays, including New Year's Day and Chuseok, totaling 67 days off.
But three of the national holidays -- Memorial Day, Liberation Day and National Foundation Day -- fall on Sunday, and there are no make-up holidays for these particular ones.
