BMW will unveil the newly modified versions of its popular 5 and 6 Series sedans in Korea next week.

They were supposed to have their world premieres at the Busan International Motor Show in June, but the carmaker had to scupper its plans as the motor show was canceled this year due to the coronavirus epidemic. Instead, the carmaker decided to hold a launch event at its driving center in Incheon on May 27.

Korea is one of the biggest markets for the BMW sedans. Buoyed by its popularity among Korean motorists, over 196,000 units of the 5 Series have been sold since its launch here in 1995.

BMW said it will ensure the event is held with precautions in place to prevent the spread of the virus, while also livestreaming it through its online channel for non-attendees.
