North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited the mausoleum of his grandfather Kim Il-sung and father Kim Jong-il in the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun in Pyongyang on Sunday to pay his respects on his father's birthday, state media reported.
It was his first public appearance in 22 days since a celebration of Lunar New Year's Day and his first appearance in public since the regime declared a national emergency on Jan. 28 to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Kim has visited his father's mausoleum every year since 2013, the year after he came into power.
