Exports See Deceptive Jump in February

Korea's exports were up almost 70 percent on-year in the first 10 days of this month, though that was largely because there were more business days this year as the Lunar New Year's Day fell in January.

The Korea Customs Service on Tuesday said exports totaled US$10.7 billion from Feb. 1 to 10, up 69.4 percent from the same period last year. Car exports soared 114.5 percent and semiconductors 37.8 percent.

However, daily exports on average fell 3.2 percent to $1.53 billion.
