Korean Women Footballers Finish 2nd at E-1 Championship

    Korea finished second after losing to Japan in the final of the E-1 Football Championship in Busan on Tuesday.

    Neither side scored in the first half, but Korea conceded a penalty kick in the 87th minute.

    The Korean women's squad led by English coach Colin Bell had aimed to win its first title in 14 years.

    The biennial football tournament organized by the East Asian Football Federation features men's and women's teams from four East Asian countries and wraps on Wednesday.

    Korean male footballers are set to play a final match against their Japanese opponents on Wednesday evening.
