Korea's women footballers drew 0-0 with their Chinese opponents at the E-1 Football Championship in Busan on Tuesday.

It was part of the biennial football tournament organized by the East Asian Football Federation, which features men's and women's teams from four East Asian countries, and runs until Dec. 18.

It was also the first match under English head coach Colin Bell, who became the first foreigner to take the helm of the Korean women's squad.

Korea, ranked No. 20 in the world by FIFA, continued its four-year undefeated streak against No. 16 China.

Korean footballers playing in Europe like Ji So-yun of Chelsea and Cho So-hyun of West Ham United were unavailable to play this time, as the championship is not part of the FIFA calendar.

Korea will face Chinese Taipei on Sunday and Japan on Dec. 17.
