A lawyer has sued football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo of Juventus over his no-show at a friendly match against the K-League All-Star team in Seoul on Friday.
Oh Seok-hyun, a lawyer at L.K.B & Partners, on Monday filed lawsuits against Ronaldo, Juventus and TheFasta, the agency that organized the event, claiming they misled fans into believing the star striker would play for at least 45 minutes. Ronaldo spent the whole game on the bench.
Oh claims the agency knew Ronaldo would not play, yet hid the information to defraud around 65,000 fans of over W6.5 billion in ticket sales (US$1=W1,185).
Some law firms have also started to prepare class action suits against TheFasta, demanding a refund for the tickets.
