Korea lost to Nigeria 2-0 in its second match of the FIFA Women's World Cup in Paris on Wednesday.

Defender Kim Do-yeon gifted the African team an own goal in the first half and Asisat Oshoala scored the other goal in the second half.

Following a heavy 4-0 defeat to France last week, the match was crucial to Korea's chances of reaching the round of 16. But the prospects now look bleak, as it sits at the bottom with two losses.

The top two teams from each of the six groups will advance to the round of 16, along with the four best third-place finishers.

Korea will play its last group-stage match against Norway on Monday.
