Korea lost to host France 4-0 in the opening match of the FIFA Women's World Cup in Paris on Friday.
Korea, ranked 14th in the world, surrendered three goals in the first half alone to fourth-ranked France, a strong contender for this year's World Cup.
Wendie Renard led France's offense, scoring two goals in the first half.

Korea lost to France 3-0 in the round of 16 at the 2015 World Cup in Canada, and the rematch four years later did not end much differently.
Also grouped with Norway and Nigeria, Korea is currently at the bottom. Korea will face Nigeria in its second match on Wednesday.
