Lee Kang-in of Valencia CF showed up in Paju, Gyeonggi Province on Tuesday along with other footballers to prepare for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will kick off next month.
The biennial tournament is for young players under the age of 20 and will take place from May 23 to June 15 in Poland this year.
Before getting into training, when asked by reporters about his goal, he said he is "aiming high" for the upcoming tournament.
Korea will face Argentina, Portugal and South Africa in the group stage matches.
Korea has yet to win an U-20 title, achieving its best result in Mexico in 1983, when it placed fourth. Korea hosted the most recent tournament in 2017, going down to Portugal in the round of 16.
