G-Star, the annual video game trade show, opened at BEXCO in Busan on Thursday.
The event serves as a venue for developers to launch new games and for gamers to check out the latest trends and products, including mobile and virtual reality games.
This year's event, which ends on Sunday, is the largest in G-Star's 14-year history, attracting a record 689 game companies from some 36 countries around the world.
Nexon, one of Korea's leading game companies, is unveiling some 18 new games at the show ahead of their release next year, and global game company Epic Games, one of the main sponsors of this year's event, is showcasing its hugely successful "Fortnite" game.
