University of Pennsylvania to Offer Online Bachelor's Degree Programs

The University of Pennsylvania in the U.S. will offer bachelor's degree programs accessible online in the fall of 2019, it said on Tuesday.

Students will not have to be present on the campus to obtain a degree from the university.

It is the first case among the prestigious Ivy League universities "to offer a fully-accredited, online education... for working adults and other non-traditional students," the university said.

"The goal of this new platform is to make an Arts and Sciences education more accessible, flexible, and affordable for working adults," the university added.
