Yet another BMW has caught fire despite passing the German automaker's safety checks.
The fire broke out in the BMW 520d sedan slightly before 5 p.m. on Monday as it traveled on a highway in Mungyeong, some 150 km southeast of Seoul.
More than 30 BMWs have caught fire in Korea in recent months, apparently due to a defect in the exhaust gas recirculation module.

The car burst into flames despite passing the required safety check two weeks ago. BMW has yet to comment on the incident.
The automaker says it hopes to complete its massive recall process -- which officially started on Monday -- within this year.
