Chun In-gee Takes Last Spot on Korea's Team for UL International Crown

Chun In-gee will play in the UL International Crown, a biennial women's professional team golf tournament on the LPGA Tour. This year's event will take place in Incheon, Korea in October. 

Chun was not initially selected for the Korean team, as she ranked 7th in the world as of the July 1 qualification date.

However, world No. 1 Park In-bee, No. 5 Choi Hye-jin and No. 6 Ko Jin-young declined to play in the tournament, creating an opportunity for Chun, who will play alongside Kim In-kyung, Park Sung-hyun and Ryu So-yeon.

Chun said on Tuesday, "I was going to play in the Hite-Jinro Championship on the KLPGA Tour in October, but I decided to compete in the UL International Crown. I'd like to thank Hite-Jinro for supporting my decision. I'll do my best for Team Korea."

Choi, who plays mostly in KLPGA tour events, and Ko, who is sponsored by Hite-Jinro, will play in the Hite-Jinro Championship as scheduled.
