Samsung is expanding its artificial-intelligence research centers to five countries and will hire 1,000 experts as the company seeks to exploit the promising future market.
The world's No. 1 smartphone and chip manufacturer says it will open centers in Britain, Canada and Russia this month, which will work closely with the main hub in Seoul and another in the U.S.
Samsung hopes to have 600 AI experts in Korea by 2020 who will work closely with overseas researchers to come up with the best possible solutions to make machines work in sync with people.
