The Court of Arbitration for Sport on Saturday reduced Hyundai scion Chung Mong-joon's five-year suspension from football governing body FIFA to 15 months.
Chung was slapped with the suspension by the FIFA's ethics committee in 2015.
The CAS also annulled a fine of 50,000 Swiss francs.
FIFA banned Chung from all football activities for vote-trading during the 2018 and 2022 World Cup bidding process and sending letters to executive FIFA members promising them benefits during Korea's bid.
"I will do my best so that FIFA can regain the love and respect of football fans," Chung said.
Chung was caught up in a widespread cleaning of the stables at the corruption-ridden organization that also led to the resignation of its long-term chief Sepp Blatter and the jailing of several executives.
