North Korean propaganda channel DPRK Today has uploaded a video clip that portrays the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang as part of the North's reunification campaign.

The two-minute clip titled "Reunification is by Korean nation itself" was uploaded in DPRK Today's YouTube channel on Monday and contains footage of earlier sporting events like the 2002 Asian Games in Busan when the two Korea's marched under a unified flag.

It shows participants from the two Koreas shedding tears, marching together under the "unification" flag, and carrying a torch and lighting the flame together, and seems generally designed to give the impression that it is North Korea that is hosting the games.

The video also has subtitles in the North's familiar extraterrestrial English that read, "We are a homogeneous nation by same blood," and "Let's resolve all issues by the efforts of our nation itself... thereby opening up a new history of national reunification."

Although the DPRK Today website is blocked in South Korea, its YouTube and social network accounts are easily accessible. The video link is being circulated by other pro-North Korean organizations abroad.
