Love does not last forever, studies confirm, at least not on the hormonal level.
People in love produce hormones like dopamine and endorphin. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that transmits excitement to nerve cells in the brain, and endorphin, which is secreted by the pituitary gland, makes people feel happy.
The reason why people in love are said to be blind is phenylethylamine, which works as a stimulant that excites central and sympathetic nerves and maximizes feelings.

Oxytocin makes people feel physical affection, increasing sexual desire and relieving pain and tension.
But these hormones are only released in increased quantities for about two years, shorter in men than in women. Stress also reduces the release of the hormones and shortens their lifespan.
But eating food that nourishes these hormones can help increase their secretion. Chocolate contains a large amount of phenylethylamine, and people eat it a lot when they are in love. Beans and meat are also helpful in boosting feelings of love as they contain phenylalanine, which is converted into phenylethylamine in the body.
