SK Group Chairman Files for Divorce

SK Group chairman Chey Tae-won has filed for divorce from his wife Roh Soh-yeong.

Chey (57) and Roh (56) married in 1988 and have one son and two daughters. They have lived separate lives for some time.

Their dispute became public when Chey sent a letter to a news outlet in December 2015 saying his relationship with his wife has grown "far too distant for more than 10 years" and that he had met someone "who comforts my heart" and has a child with her.

Roh is unlikely to agree to an amicable divorce, having said in previous interviews that she will not, so the case is likely to go to trial once the mandatory cooling-off period is over.
