Lotte Mart's shopping website in China is back online after two months of showing a notice that it was under repair.
It was taken down around the time Chinese authorities closed down 74 of 99 Lotte Marts in China over real or imagined health-and-safety violations, as retaliation on Seoul's decision to deploy a THAAD missile defense battery from the U.S. here.
Although the Chinese government officially denies this, it has also made no secret of its anger at the THAAD deployment, and the unofficial boycott of Korean goods and services has been wide-ranging.
But signs of a thaw are on the horizon as the new administration in Korea has signaled it will review the deployment.
Three Korean musicals are set to take the stage in China, the first scheduled to start its run as early as June. And the K-pop chart section has reappeared on one of China's biggest music streaming sites, QQ music, after vanishing in March.
