Actress Lim Soo-jung is set to appear in her first TV series in more than a decade on cable channel tvN on Friday. She used to mostly work on films after her last TV series "Sorry, I Love You" in 2004.
In a press event for "Chicago Typewriter" held in Seoul on Wednesday, Lim said, "I decided to do it as soon as I read the script. It is a quite new genre for me enough to stir my curiosity, and I was attracted by the plot and characters almost instantly, which are very interesting."
"I also chose to do it without hesitation because it was with actor Yoo Ah-in, whom I really wanted to work with," she added.
When asked whether things have changed since her last TV series, Lim said, "I didn't even realize it had been that long."
"Chicago Typewriter" is a mystery fantasy about a best-selling writer, and his ghostwriter, and a die-hard fan who later turns into the writer's worst critic.
