Chinese Electric Car Maker Gets Green Light for Sales in Korea

China's BYD will soon begin selling its electric vehicles in Korea as it has completed the registration process here.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said on Sunday that it certified China's largest electric-vehicle maker after reviewing its application submitted last month.

For the Korean market, BYD plans to focus on electric buses. It is expected to launch sales in July or August, the ministry said.
