Koreans will get 69 holidays next year, one more day than this year. If Saturdays are counted, however, there will be 119 off days, the same as this year.
According to the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, there will be 52 Sundays and 15 annual public holidays in 2018.
General elections slated for mid-June next year will add an extra non-working day.
There are also two additional substitute holidays, as Children's Day (May 5) and Chuseok, or Korean Thanksgiving, fall on Sundays, making the total 69.
