Tobacco makers are now required to include graphic images on cigarette packs, illustrating the potential harmful effects of smoking.

As it can take more than a month for tobacco products to hit stores, cigarette packs with the graphic warnings aren't expected to appear on shelves at most stores until late January.

The requirement is the latest in a series of anti-smoking measures the government is implementing to reduce smoking rates.
