Seoul and Tokyo have already started sharing intelligence on North Korea's nuclear weapons and missiles under a bilateral pact that went into effect on Nov. 23.
"The two countries shared intelligence on the nuclear and missile threats from the North at a meeting at the Defense Ministry this morning," ministry spokesman Moon Sang-gyun said Friday.
"We agreed with Tokyo not to make the nature of the information public."
