Protester Numbers Set Fresh Record as Park Refuses to Budge

      Another round of candlelight protests in Gwanghwamun, Seoul on Saturday drew up to 1.7 million people who again peacefully braved freezing temperatures to call on President Park Geun-hye to quit over a massive crony scandal.

      There were no arrests. Organizers said 2.32 million participated in protests across the country.

      Die-hard Park supporters also gathered in Yeouido and at Seoul Station, but there were no clashes between the two sides.
