President Park Geun-hye's approval rating has fallen even further to a record-low four percent, according to a poll on 1,004 people by Gallup Korea last week.
Some 93 percent of respondents disapproved of her and four percent did not want to say.
Park's approval rating had hovered at five percent for three weeks, but the fresh numbers suggest even some die-hard supporters are abandoning her.
Approval was at zero among people in their 20s and 30s, four percent among people in their 40s, six percent among 50-somethings and nine percent among the over-60s.
This is the lowest approval rating for any Korean president in history, worse even than the previous record low of six percent in the final days of President Kim Young-sam.
Negative opinion of Park has grown from 64 percent in the third week of October, when the scandal first began to snowball. Asked why, 45 percent cited the corruption scandal involving Park's crony Choi Soon-sil and her extortion of corporate funds, while seven percent cited an overall lack of leadership ability, shaky management of state affairs and dishonesty.
Park's approval rating hovered between 29 to 34 percent this year until the April general elections.
