The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office plans to question the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra's former music director Chung Myung-whun in an ongoing internal feud.
Trouble at the orchestra started when some staff accused its former president Park Hyun-jung of verbal abuse and gender discrimination in December 2014.
Park denied all claims but quit the orchestra and accused Chung of being behind a campaign to oust her and embezzling orchestra funds for his personal use.
More recently, Chung's wife was charged with defaming Park.
Chung resigned late last year after the orchestra and the Seoul city government postponed their decision whether to renew his contract.
Park later filed charges against Chung for slandering her in letters to orchestra members and public statements. Chung counter-sued.
Prosecutors questioned Park last month and have been negotiating the timing of their interview with Chung, who lives overseas. They also summoned Chung's wife, but she reportedly refused to return to Korea.
