World No. 1 Lydia Ko won the first LPGA major of the season on Sunday.

Ko finished 12-under 276 at the ANA Inspiration at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California.

This was her second straight LPGA victory after winning the Kia Classic a week earlier, and her second major title after the Evian Championship last year.

Ko now becomes the youngest player to claim two major wins at the age of 18 years and 11 months, beating the previous record set by Pak Se-ri when she was 20 years and nine months old.

Following the event's tradition, Ko jumped into the pond next to the 18th green.

"To me, I'm just trying to enjoy playing on the tour that I've always dreamed of playing on amongst these amazing girls. And just to be able to travel to these amazing places, I think that's what I'm fortunate about. I don't feel special in other ways," Ko said after the tournament.

Chun In-gee and Charley Hull of Britain tied for second at 11-under. Park In-bee and Park Sung-hyun tied for sixth at eight-under.
