Hotel Shilla's Restaurant Named Among Asia's 50 Best

Hotel Shilla's Korean restaurant La Yeon has been named among Asia's 50 Best Restaurants for the second straight year.

The annual list is published by William Reed Business Media, best known for the Restaurant magazine.

"While keeping true to hansik [traditional Korean cuisine] traditions, La Yeon interprets Korean cuisine with great care and sophistication," it said.

The restaurant on the 23rd floor of the hotel in Seoul fell to 50th place this year from 38th last year.

Other Korean restaurants included in this year's list are Mingles (15th) and Jungsik (22th), both in the southern part of Seoul.
